On November 16, 2019, the third stop of the TMOTTGoGo Regional Tour of Go-Go History took place at the Oxon Hill Library, located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Hosted by Kato Hammond and Dr. Tahira Mahdi, and guest speaker Mark Ward.
This interactive presentation opened the doors for go-go music lovers from Oxon Hill and abroad to share their oral histories of the Go-Go experience for its famous digital archive, featuring members from Black Nation Band, Gary -aka- Happy Hands, Chris Evans, Slim Jim, and Steve Jackson… all giving accounts of their experiences in the Go-Go circuit.
Consistent with TMOTTGoGo’s reputation as the most trusted source of information on Go-Go, this tour serves to present and collect oral histories of Go-Go from each location.
