DC Power Producer Paul Minor Has Passed Away

One of the greatest Audio Engineers and Songwriter/Producers to ever come out of the Washington D.C. has passed away.  Paul Minor died on Thursday morning of cardiac arrest after finishing a recording session at Powerhouse Productions studios located in Dover, Pennsylvania.

Paul had been staying at the home of Powerhouse President King Raymond Green on a daily basis helping put together every aspect of this project from start to finish, which included the construction of the new studio, to co-producing all the new recordings, which they are currently working on.  A project they have been putting together from start to finish for over the last year.

Paul was co-producing a new album with me for The Original Clovers featuring Harold Winley. He had been battling with many different ailments since undergoing kidney failure about two years ago, but he still had a positive attitude and still continued to work diligently as an engineer/producer. There are very few people in the music industry that have as much talent and knowledge of the music business as this man has acquired over the years. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be able to work with a man of such immense talent and fortitude.”
King Raymond Green, President/CEO at Powerhouse Productions

Paul was one of the most highly sought after engineers of our time, working with such notable artists as Earth Wind and Fire, The Whispers, Father’s Children, Desi Hill, The Duece, Al Johnson, Ski Johnson, Fase Miller, Bag of Beats Records and many many others.

“He produced my new album “Under dogs on Top” this shit hit me like a ton of bricks!! He was one of the greatest Music producers I knew, A true Perfectionist!! He work so hard on this album and pushed me so hard!! I mean really hard! He always said to me “Ski we must be perfect always, and nothing less! If its not perfect, it will not be released!”
-Ski Johnson, Jazz Saxophonist
