The Sasha Bruce Youthwork: A Grassroots Campaign to Help Raise Musical Instrument & Work Book Funds for the Youth, and You Can Help!

The Sasha Bruce Youthwork is currently on a mission and You Can Help!  If 100 People Donate $10, then Sasha Bruce Youthwork can purchase newer instruments for its youth Go-Go Band.  But they only have until Sunday, July 22, to get it accomplished.

The Issue: Youth Band Needs Musical Instruments

Sasha Bruce Youthwork founded its go-go band, called Forgiving All My Enemies (FAME), as an afterschool program in response to youth demand. The band meets three times a week to practice and teaches the youth about music and band management to help develop their interests in music. However, the band currently uses instruments that are too old and worn to work properly and need replacement.

The Campaign: Purchasing Musical Instruments for Youth

If this Grassroots campaign raises $1,000, then Sasha Bruce Youthwork can purchase newer secondhand instruments and promotional materials for its youth go-go band. $1,000 will purchase two guitars, power and bass amplifiers, conga, snare, and bass drums, cymbals, a microphone, and a keyboard. Each additional $10 raised will go toward funding GED, ACT, and SAT preparation books for members of the youth band. Through the go-go band, Sasha Bruce Youthwork aims to create a safe space for participants to play and express themselves. It also helps them grow by connecting them to GED programs, college testing, and transitional housing.

UPDATE: As of right now, Sasha Bruce Youthwork have now met their 100 person quota to make our Groupon live!  But let’s not stop here.  What this means is that as stated above, each additional $10 raised goes towards funding GED, ACT, and SAT preparation books for members of the youth band.  The deal is still active until Sunday, July 22nd, spread the word and let’s keep this thing growing!
