As folks in the DMV are gathering all their gear together in preparation to participate and party with Go-Go Legend Donnell Floyd’s 30 Year Celebration this coming weekend at the historic Howard Theatre, we decided to ‘syce’ the mood up even more by showcasing back on just a few moment points of that 30 years.
The first moment is a video clip of Floyd’s working the walls with Rare Essence.
The Second moment is link to an interview session that Floyd did with us, which took place in 2002, shorty after leaving the RE camp and starting his own band 911.
The Third moment is of a piece from a 2004 issue of TMOTTGoGo Magazine after the name was changed from 911 to Familiar Faces.
The Forth moment is of an audio interview session that Floyd did on a TMOTTGoGo Radio Show back in 2007.
